Welcome to the EECV

The day of the Lord is yet to come, are we ready?

As the pulpit is so is the pew. What matters most is not the name of the church but what is preached behind the pulpit. The congregation is no higher than what is preached behind the pulpit. The majority of Christians and even shepherds are shutting out the sound of the trumpet and ignore the watchman’s cry. The spiritual blindness of the churchgoing masses is making God angry. That is why God is moving quickly and judging His people. He will not withdraw His hand of judgment until every last money changer and thief has been driven out of His house. We are seeing only the beginning of His awesome judgment upon lies, deception and evil distortion of His Gospel. His shaking has only begun. It is not the end of it but it is the beginning Many preachers come to their pulpit and deceive their congregation that what has happened to America is not because God is angry with America but with mismanagement of the economy with the present or the former president. They think that just because America sent missionaries overseas for years and America is the number one supporter of Israel that America will be safe. But it turned up to be wrong because we have seen America back in to recession. But the worst is yet to come. Still the deceived leaders are teaching their congregation that they need not suffer, that all things are theirs for the asking. But God is now taking down their wall of protection and putting them to the test.

Again their shepherds are deceiving them that it is change in the leaders of the nation than a change in the hearts of His people will make nations prosper and they are pushing them to vote for ungodly candidate so that the economy of the country will be restored. You foolish listen what the Bible says:

“If my people, who are called by My Name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal the land.”     2 chronicles 7:13-15 .(This is God’s prescription for spiritual, physical and as well nation’s sickness.)

In the history of the nation of Israel God punished His people because of ungodly leaders (kings). So why are ministers of the gospel giving a blind eye to the root of the problems and leave those who are redeemed by the gospel deceived?

Blood bought church and   congregation redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus

“Our generation needs true pastors, true prophets, true apostles, true evangelists and true teachers”

                                                             Robert Liardon

All churches in the street corners all over the globe isn’t ours it is God’s. The church is God’s possession He bought the church at a shockingly high cost, by the precious blood of Jesus So do we know how precious the blood is?

Without a doubt, the blood of Jesus Christ is the most precious gift our heavenly Father has given to His church. Yet so few Christians understand its value and virtue. Christians often sing about the power of the blood. Indeed, the anthem of the Pentecostal church is, "There is power, power, wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb." But most believers seldom enter into the power of that blood.

We simply do not comprehend the great significance of the blood. For example: We constantly "plead the blood" as some kind of mystical formula of protection. But few Christians can explain its great glory and benefits.

If I were to ask you what the power of the blood means, you might answer, "It means that my sins are forgiven -- that I'm free from the bondage of iniquity -- that all my sins are covered." Yet, beyond forgiveness, what does the blood of Jesus Christ mean to you? Do you know more about the blood than the forgiveness of your sins? Can you explain to anyone what the blood means and its value and virtue of the blood of Jesus?

I want to give you a very slight and my limited  understanding of the preciousness of Jesus' blood and how it can work wonderful changes in your life!

In this message specifically I will try to point out how this precious blood has no regard with today’s prophets or those who call themselves prophets. Because they don’t have any respect for the precious blood of Jesus. As for me I have no sympathy for arrogant self styled prophets who fight back ,threaten or throw curses because their evil deeds are exposed .As we see in the Bible the prophet Jeremiah said the  message from the Lord is just like  a word that has become a burden upon the soul or a fire shut up in the bones. Jeremiah the prophet lived in a time of hardship and opposition but he never had a spirit in him to curse God’s people or his enemies. Why do today’ s prophets curse to threaten God’s chosen people who are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus.

Do you have a discerning spirit?

Those few who are gifted with Discerning of Spirits are scoffed at and labeled as fundamentalists, or worse, heretics. Spirit Baptized and filled Christians are even deceived without this important gift. . How many Christians today are desirous of discernment? Not many. Most are quite satisfied the way they are.As one preacher said “the fastest way to lose friends is to go all the way with God”. Once you become serious about spiritual matters   you suddenly become “religious fanatic” and you will experience the worst rejection of your life time. That is what happened to Jesus, they hugged Him and the next day they spit on Him. Satan is having a hay-day with churches today, as he always has, however today with communications and other media being so far advanced, he is abounding in his spirit of deceit. We have learned that Satan is an imitator of the things of God; since the things of God are spiritual, and Satan is the spirit of the air around us, he is quite able to do his deceitful work unhindered except by the few gifted for the defense of the Faith of Christ by the gift of discerning of spirits. The sad account is that the sleeping church does not want to be awakened by a few concerned Saints crying in the wilderness to repent from their blindness and open their eyes and seek the truth.

Those sleeping “saints” believe without a doubt that they are serving the true God, faithfully. So did the Pharisees in Jesus’ day and Saul of Tarsus later, and so it is today. Church members think they are in an excellent relationship with God because of the good works they are doing and their faithful attendance in all the food and praise music activities scheduled by the church programmers, not to mention the prayer list that is reviewed for a few minutes on Wednesday evenings, if they have a meeting at all.

Where are the tears of remorse for the sins they claim are under the blood on a weekly basis? Where are the souls being saved and the baptisms that follow? Where is the preaching on the Rapture and the horrors of Hell?  Where is the gift of Discerning of Spirits? Where is the Church of our Lord, Jesus Christ? Where are the prophets who warn us? Why Ethiopian Evangelical Churches are missing the visitation of the Lord? The answer is simple because the congregation is deceived by a handful of leaders who turned away from the sound doctrine and leading the church their own way. Here when I say leaders they are the apostles, the pastors, evangelists who do not fear the Lord.

Do you have a discerning spirit? Do you know what is of God and what is not of Him?

This gospel of the Kingdom and the last days

How long has it been since we have heard a message that convicted us? In the Old Testament the tabernacle gives us a perfect example of the kind of walk with God the church should have. There is an outer court where by the animal is slain this is a blood covering for sin. But that is not the end of it, there is also a basin where a cleansing has to take place. No priest could enter the Holy of Holies and commune with God face to face until he was first cleansed. Yet the modern gospel says otherwise. It says “Just got to the altar and by faith, trust in the blood shed there. Then go boldly to the Holy of Holies. Your daddy loves you and he is waiting for you. He sees only Jesus in you. You don’t need to search your heart. Your sin is under the covering of the blood”

This is not a time for any more jokes. We have to make sure that we can’t bypass the cleansing before we face God in the Holy of Holies. We need the washing by the water of the word. We think we can rush past personal commitment to Him in the Holy place where our hearts are dipped in sin and sinful habits, then walk right and boast “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” There is no quick ticket to glory. We want no pain, no cross, no cleansing and we go around crying “ I am under the blood, I am safe” Let us not deceive our selves or deceived by those who are teaching us how to compromise with sin.

These days most preachers are becoming soft on sin. Their appetites are filled with good life. They enjoy comfort and when some shameful thing happens in the church just like Eli the priest they say “you shouldn’t do these evil things” After all some say that “people might get offended, stop coming and it is hard to pay bills” and says the growth of the church might be hindered. Which growth?  Living in sin? Compromising with sin? That is why our preachers fear dealing harshly with sin. Now we see the fruit of it which is alarming number of divorces in our churches including pastors: some people have secret affairs (by the way “affair” is the modern name given to adultery): and young people bound by evil habits, because there are no convicting messages from the pulpit.

O! Christian keep yourself clean do not get deceived by false teachers who twist the scriptures to their own lust and worldly pleasure.  Read More....

This Gospel of the kingdom Vs Modern Christianity

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the  whole world as a testimony to all nations. . ."

                                                                            Mat 24:14

I will share you a testimony where my youngest brother Mesfin shared me when he came to visit me two months ago here in the United States. This was his experience in his own words.

My experience with the Birla temple in New Delhi, the largest Hindu temple in the city.

I was in India for a business meeting in September 2009. As it is a tradition in many of my business trips overseas, I would like to spare a day visiting the tourist attractions if I got the time. This has helped me to learn more about the culture and traditions of the host country, and so has happened in India. The discussion with my Indian colleagues revealed that Birla temple is worth visiting and went there by taxi. After a few minutes we arrived at the Birla temple. Taking out the shoes is part of the tradition before entering the temple and so I did and entered the temple. There were quite a large number of worshippers at the location and I was eager to find out what is happening there. I followed a group and was led to a certain location within the temple. Beautiful and colorful portraits which are lit up were here and there in small rooms. The group I was following stood for a moment in front of one room where this beautiful portrait, baby looking with small wings on both sides is placed. The whole group bowed down their heads and prayed to it, and continued to do it one after the other. I found those portraits worth watching because of the beautiful art but have never imagined these to be gods which are prayed to. I began to pray for these people for the Lord to open their hearts and believe in the true and the only God that gives life. The process continued one after the other and finally got to a place where someone was sitting with a red ink. Everyone is going there and was being marked on the forehead with this ink. I asked the person next to me what it is and was told that it was a “blessing.” But I said thank you I don't need it. The most fascinating part of the story was revealed when I went out of the temple where someone was shouting out “Hindu gods! Hindu gods!” I went closer to him and asked how much it costs and was told that I need to pay Rs 10 (10 Indian rupees which is equivalent to 0.25 US cents) to get one. “what is its importance?” I asked and was told that they are good for prayers. Those small arts from a piece of wood are trusted to solve all the problems of mankind and are prayed to!

Brothers and sisters this is what religion looks like. But the gospel what Jesus gave us "the gospel of the kingdom "is different from this.  Jesus didn’t teach the disciples how to run a church; he didn’t even teach them how to fight for a position in the church but taught them to preach this gospel of the kingdom and how to pray. When we preach this kingdom gospel all of a sudden the incurable is curable, the unmovable is movable. For a bird it doesn’t matter how high the mountain is or how deep the gorge is it flies above. It doesn’t matter whether the whole hell comes against you, you are always above that. That is what this kingdom gospel does. Let us not put Christianity in line with all other religions. Christianity is not a religion but a life to be lived. That is what this kingdom gospel is. Let us not mix this kingdom gospel with the modern gospel.. As there is no diplomatic gospel there will be no diplomatic evangelism. If we want to get original result we must preach original message (gospel). If we preach what the apostles preached we will get what the apostles got. So Let us preach this gospel of the kingdom.

God’s instruments in this generation

How can revival continue without passing it on? Many past revivals and revivalists didn’t take the next generation in to account. As a result God had to search for somebody to rekindle the fire that should have never gone out. Revivals don’t have to end. Revivals are meant to continue. The fire of God must be passed on with each new generation.

                            (Robert Liardon, God’s Generals p79)

In Ethiopian evangelical churches the leaders are not looking for God chosen people to continue the revival but people who are their buddies where God is not looking after them. A person does not need to have church calling or invited by churches to preach in order to become an instrument of God. Being an instrument of God has nothing to do with what people think about you but your personal relationship with Him will get you to the destination where God has in mind for you. In any congregation or city revival can be secured only when heroic souls enter the conflict determined to win or die or if needed to win and die. One has to know that the spirit of reform has never been birthed in peaceful ivory towers. Always a dear price has been paid.

God has spoken through his prophet “And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”(Ezek 22:30)

And one has to wonder where such a man will be found today.

When God Speaks

(Let me share you a story I read over the internet)

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice. The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home.
Sitting in his car, he just began to pray,"God. . . If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey." As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought, stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli."Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh street, he again felt the urge, "Turn down that
street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down the Seventh street. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will."He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi-commercial area of town.
It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.
The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the
people were already in bed. Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid." (it is better to obey God and look stupid rather than rebelling against God and look smart)Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.

Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the
door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here." He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?"
Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and t-shirt. He looked like he
just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem
too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?"
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you."
The man took the milk and rushed down a hall way speaking loudly in Spanish. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying.
The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk." His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some...Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on
him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers and that God still speaks to His people.
God talks to us daily! We are to be in Obedience unto the functioning of the Holy Spirit. When God speaks to your heart of hearts, obey, for in your sacrifice of obedience, God rewards you bountifully!
Praise God, for every opportunity to be used of Him, for He is Faithful to
answers prayers of those who seek Him

LORD SHAKE OUR CHURCHES

(Ethiopian Evangelical Churches)

Before I start writing this message I will try to let all the readers know an important matter. As I always mention at the end of my messages if you see anything unscriptural that I support please take the liberty or feel free to send me a message about it and please provide me with scriptural backing. Do not send me a message because you are a blind supporter of any specific individuals or organizations (pastors, denominations etc.). The Bible clearly says “Test all things” Just show me in the scriptures. After saying this let me go to my message.

The preacher was waiting for a ride in one of the busy street of Addis Ababa (the capital of Ethiopia). A few feet away a bell was ringing to entice people to step on the small crooked scale. And when he turns it is the usual guy having a scale in front of him and making money by letting people step on his scale. The preacher was tempted to step on the scale but said no. He went back and forth for a while and finally decided to step on the scale and saw how many kilogram he weighs. After stepping he can’t believe his eyes he was way higher than he thought. He turns to the guy and said “Is this scale right?” The guy replied “yes sir”.  And he stepped again on the scale and saw the same thing and asked the guy again “Are you sure this scale is right?” The guy replied “Yes sir it is right”. For the third time he stepped on the scale and saw the same thing and finally for the last time turned to the guy and asked him “How do you know that it is right?” The guy replied “Because everybody is being weighed on this scale”.   Brothers and sistors there is no scriptural backing for a lot of things we do at Ethiopian Evangelical Churches these days but we practice it because everybody is doing that way. These teachings erode the foundation of the truth with no resemblance to the original message.

Something’s are not worth compromising at any price and one of it is our commitment to the true word of God. But we are compromising, Lord: shake our churches bring us back to original teaching of the word. Marketing Christ  is being a norm in Ethiopian churches. Everything is merchandised in the name of Jesus. Lord, Shake our churches let the church preach the true gospel.
